Today, as in many other sectors, the construction industry also takes its share from the concept of digital transformation with the development of technology in the global environment. Awareness about the adaptation of new technologies to the construction industry and the industry's needs are increasing day by day. With the adaptation of digital technologies to the industry, it is aimed to increase the productivity and efficiency of construction projects that involve increasingly complex systems and management styles.
Building Information Modeling (BIM: Building Information Modeling); It is a digital lifecycle process that continues from the formation, transfer, archiving, reuse and even destruction of information for an asset to be built. While the BIM concept aims to transfer knowledge and create an efficient working environment among professionals in the sector throughout this life cycle; It makes information accessible in the office, on the construction site and in all business processes through technology. It is also a common language for the stakeholders in the digital transformation of the construction industry and is the locomotive concept of the construction industry in the developing world.
With the "BIM Summit" to be held in Bursa for the first time, to contribute to the awareness of sector stakeholders in Bursa about the benefits of BIM processes, to provide information transfer by creating a bridge between current professionals and students who are preparing to take a role in the sector in the future, Yapı Bilgi One of the main purposes is to raise awareness about the compatibility of modeling with the sector. In addition to all these, it is aimed to contribute to the realization of the life cycle of the construction sector by increasing the knowledge sharing of professionals, academic institutions and job candidates from all over Turkey, especially in Bursa, in the development of the construction sector, starting with the motto of 'BIM4TURKEY'.
In the event that will be held in Bursa Academic Chambers Union Campus in cooperation with TMMOB Chamber of Architects Bursa Branch and BIM4TURKEY; Design Processes with BIM, Digital Transformation of Building Materials, Field Applications are among the main topics that will be on the agenda.
